Music And Memory: Sing Your Way to School Success!
In Bob’s Music And Memory program, the fun begins with a medley of educational sing-alongs. Next, students enjoy “mnemonic raps” designed to accelerate learning. After that comes a rhythm and rhyme mini-workshop and a how-to on writing unforgettable “study songs.” The program culminates with a never-before-heard song written and performed by the students – with a little help from Bob!
School Song Spectacular Page: Let’s Write YOUR School’s Anthem Together!
Does your school have a school song? If not, Bob Barlow will be happy to help your students write one! His SCHOOL SONG SPECTACULAR program guides students through the songwriting process and encourages them to brainstorm ideas and images that belong in a song about their school. A rhythm-and-rhyme mini-workshop primes kids to craft verses that are fun to sing and a pleasure to hear. By the end of the program, your school will have a song, complete with two verses and a chorus!
Poems, Songs And Sing-Alongs: Words + Music = Learning Fun for Everyone!
As its name implies, this program covers all the bases: Writing image-rich, rhyming poems, turning them into songs and having a great time singing them! Students learn the basics of songwriting and poetry while expanding their understanding of similes and metaphors, imagery, hyperbole, alliteration, onomatopoeia and other literary techniques. Although the focus is on fun, the learning is lasting!
Bob is thrilled to create custom-crafted school and library programs themed around virtually any topic. Let us know what you need, and bob will come up with a fun, musical way to make it happen!
